I want to charge a 48V battery bank with a propane generator. What can I use to start and stop it?

I’d like the generator to start automatically when the voltage drops to a certain point, and shut off when it rises to a certain point. Any attention you can give this would be appreciated.

    you can use a relay if you don’t need an accurate set point. Otherwise you will need a voltage reference and a set of comparators, with some logic, driving a relay that turns on the generator.
